You misunderstand why the thread was started. It was to replace a locked one that had become abusive. If you dislike threads about any particular topic I suggest you dont contribute to them

Oh look, another opinion thread with a title that makes it sound like proven fact. Post a source please, or your opinion is no better than anyone else's.

Personally, I don't know or care whether or not Hamilton is GOING to leave Mclaren. He has been reported in several places as considering it, which could also be untrue I suppose but after viewing his antics for a while now...I would not doubt it. What is certainly and unquestionably true is that he has recently been caught lying about his cheating. Equally true is that his reputation as well as his fan base has taken a severe hit, while his most loving fans are still in as much denial as ever....and have gone around attacking anyone on a webboard who has dared to utter the fact that a 24 year old millionaire world champion should have enough backbone not to lie to stewards on multiple days...even if asked to by his team. If said world champion, millionaire, self appointed heir to Senna does choose to lie repeatedly and gets caught...he probably should not then claim he is the victim and blame it all on his team.

There are, of course, differing opinions on this. His 'real' fans claim that he should in fact lie, cheat and lie again...and that he is, naturally, the victim in all of this because poor little millionaire world champion Hamilton was being controlled by his team....well up until he roasted them in a press conference he called for that purpose. The team's voicebox remote control had its battery system melt down...thereby releasing their voodoo hold on poor little millionaire world champion Hamilton for just long enough for him to declare his status as victim. It's almost enough to make you feel sorry for the guy. Ok, which of you is going to start the Hamilton Millionaire World Champion Relief Fund so that we can all contribute to his therapy...which will one day cure him of the depression inherent in being led so very far astray without one's consent. I am sure the traumatic events of his victimization can be worked through with a few thousand hours of couch time. I can see it now......

But it was several days later that you lied again....as an F1 driver your mind thinks in thousandths of a second...several days wasn't enough time to think it over?

You mean, exactly like this one? I don't mind it when people are participating in a slightly heated debate, but this thread is only eighteen (now nineteen) posts old and already Tony and Max are at it. Quite offensively so, in fact.

I have to laugh at the hypocrisy. The opening line of the first post asks for the threat to be kept civil, and yet the thread starter is hurling insults round childishly. I've never made a request like this before, but could you please put a stop to it? It's getting ridiculous...

It has been in the press for a while now that he is considering leaving
And thats the problem, its in the press!!!!. I read one of our red tops recently that stated that our M.P's expenses were above board, you see thats too. So seeing as our Tony_sa is away having raunchy umpalumpa with some hot dingo wearing stockings, could you give us all the benefit of your wisdom and post the link to a factual statement from Hamilton, that he is leaving either F1 or McLaren .......................................Tumbleweed

No ma'am, I have not misunderstood. THIS thread was started because Mad Max and a few others were insulting everyone in the other thread who doesn't believe Hamilton's lying is someone else's fault. When that thread was closed because of too much drama, said drama queen created another so that he could still argue with someone. He didn't create it to set the record straight, because he doesn't know any more certainly than anyone else what Hammy is thinking, considering or going to do. He created this thread so that he could continue the argument.

Oh, of course not. I cringe at the thought that I might have suggested such a thing. Naturally, it was closed because a couple of screen names just created today were acting like jerks within the thread so therefore a thread discussing Hamilton's faults had to be closed..for the greater good of the posting public. Closing the thread is far better than simply banning the offending IP addresses. I understand completely. That happens, and I am quite certain it has nothing to do with the topic being discussed within that thread. I mean, the last time that happened was some time ago and in a thread completely unrelated to the current one. I believe the title was 'Hamilton Dissenters Thread' or something completely irrelevant such as that.

Actually we TRY to merge threads instead of locking them. When a thread is locked it is because one or two things have happened, the forum rules have been broken or the thread has turned into an utter mess. You play nice and we play nice, it's really a very simple game to play.

not to critize but there were two guys causing issues in that thread but the rest of it was partial relevent discusion.

how come you didn't just ban/temp ban the instigators and remove the offence threads?

Some are not just trying to have a chat though, they are internet warriors with nothing valid to add. You think it's easy trying to keep the peace here while trying to let everyone have a voice?? Maybe one day you will understand, I hope.

I hope I did not come off wrong yet it is very difficult trying to please everyone, the admin/mod team try our best though .

Hopefully Hamilton does leave McLaren. McLaren needs a driver who act responsibly, think independently, take responsibility for his actions and is a team player. The team's wage bill would be a bit cheaper as well.
