What if I just paid someone to do the second option for me?

Now you are onto something. There is certainly enough money in F1 to afford a few...um...security consultants..

I hear Tanya Harding and Jeff Gillooly are available for hire.:twisted:

As Captain Blackadder said at his court martial - "Deny everything Baldrick"

max ...I have a question and I dont mean to be funny. I considered the answers to the statement that was made and the ones that comes up is a bit disturbing. A brit poster last night claimed 'that they have nothing ( or not much) to be proud of' . what the hell does that mean ??

I've no idea mate

I shudder to think that most brits standing behind hamilton is doing it becoz to them it a achievement that should have been beyond his reach. Its like the saying ' in the land of the blind one-eye is king. I actually feel sorry for him now cos thats a lot a pressure. I wish I could elaborate without stepping over boundaries but best to maybe leave it there. think the peeps that have that opinion over there need to check themselves.

Fire them!

Not to sure the sponsors would like that so much

Do you believe the sponsors are happy about being affiliated with a team now wrapped up in another management/lying scandal? Have you read the comments from Mercedes?

I own a company and a run an amateur race team (my fourth - first boats, then motocross, motorcycles, and for the last decade GT-3 cars) and I can tell you both from being a sponsor and having been sponsored that someone giving you money/material or time does very much NOT like being wrapped up in ANY drama of ANY kind. They look on that money that they are investing as advertisement dollars or in Mercedes case, advertisement and development dollars. Either way, negative press is not likely appreciated. Therefore, I doubt very much that they are enjoying the current scandal any more than those of the past year or two and would probably very much appreciate it if the team started acting with a bit more integrity...even when not forced to by the FIA.

I agree 100%, But you still didn't answer the question. If you're in Ron Dennis's position after the first meeting, and one of your employees lied to the Stewards, How would you have handled it.

I would have fired them also.

What if it was the sporting Director's Idea in the first place.

Same thing for them aswell.

So If you know FIA is keeping a close eye on you and will investigate every detail possible, You'd continue lying even if the odds say you'd get caught lying? Regardless if FIA is wrong/stupid/ biased if you want to compete in F1 you have to play by their rules.
