OK, I am new to this board and you guys have probably hashed out the Alonso is hard to work with argument but here is my 2c worth.

Alonso went to Mclaren and really got that car sorted, and the team put their effort behind Hamilton. I reckon Alonso had the right to be upset about that because it was his influence that got that car going well. Sure he is a competitive guy and voiced his opinion, but isn't that what should be expected from a top sportsman. Should he have sat there and just taken it? I don't think so. Mclaren chose to back a rookie over a proven champion.

OK Hamilton won the wdc the next year but in my opinion it was a combination of Kimi and Massa having shockers, and Hamilton driving a well sorted car thanks to Alonsos efforts the previous year. Don't get me wrong, Hamilton is an awesome driver, just not a complete one, as he lacks car development and set up experience, as we are seeing this year.. Meanwhile everyone was saying Alonso was causing trouble at Renault , but look what he achieved. He motivated that team to really perform beyond everyone's expectations, in fact i think he scored more points that anyone in the last half of the season ( or close to it)

If he was such a scumbag why did Renault take him back...... and why are Ferrari going to sign him ? (if they haven't already.) Now these recent events at McLaren are showing just how that team behaves internally and I reckon it is giving us a taste of just what Alonso was up against there.

I really cant see Mclaren coming back this year, they just don't have the driver to sort the car out properly. And its not just the diffuser issue , that car is just SLOW and even a driver of Hamiltons class wont help. Over the last few years the management of McLaren have made some key decisions, starting with backing a rookie over a proven champ and now their chickens are coming home to roost.

RIP McLaren.

Im sick of hearing about Alonso getting McLaren 2tenths or what ever he claimed. Its like the Alonso fans think McLaren didnt know how to build a winning car until he got there. do they even remember who Alonso was fighting during his first title? McLaren arguably had the fastest car in the field in 05 this had nothing to do with Alonso nothing to do with Ferrari data or any other excuse people like to come up with in regards to McLarens pace. Basically for the last 20 odd years McLaren have been up there and know how to build cars so dont question that!
McLaren like Ferrari were putting their efforts behind the 08 campaign and are now paying for it with their respective 09 cars pace. But we are only 2 races in there is alot of ground to be made up by both Ferrari and McLaren. they both have the resources available to make massive gains in a short time.

so keep your chickens in their pen for now thank you very much.

Oh my f***ing god, you you douchebag!
I too am sick to death of hearing all this bullcrap about Alonso with Mclaren, they backed both drivers, they both had the same car, Alonso just kept throwing his toys out of the pram and luckily for me pissed off!

Your a joke maaaaan

My two cents...

I thought that Nigel Stepney and Mike Coughlan were the centre of the Spygate affair. Oh, and their big red book.

A bit pedantic. Stephen and Coughlan may have kicked things off, but Alonso didn't mind playing along as well.

Indeed not. But I would not say that he (and de la Rosa, for that matter) were the centre of the whole thing. They just saw an opportunity to gain a huge, unfair advantage. In a disgusting manner.

What do you think the other teams do?... Can you believe that 2 drivers directed the whole design of a car?... You must be joking... Open your eyes to the whole true.
