In my own personal opinion I find there is something weird about the car and I find it strange how they have picked themselves up so quickly, it races and troubles the brain. But there will be problems along the way. Brawn is successful but not for long. We will have to wait until the diffuser thing is passed but until then my opinions stick. They are cheating, it may be a Claus in the rules but why would they look so deep into it? That is cheating to find a way of making their car superior to the rest. End of. When it is cleared I will be satisfied and will fully support them spite my team failing But if illegal well you are as the British say. duck

If Ferrari was being the successful team instead of Brawn, would it still be considered cheating?

Rubbish! Most of the hard work was already done last year while Ferrari and Mac were battling. I think they picked themselves up quickly in terms of management etc and were smart enough to interpret the rules in their favor to pick themselves up of the ground - without malice I might add, IMO.

its not illegal its been passed twice by scrutineers at 2 GP's.

Yes, no team should prosper from a Claus in the rules. That’s just boring game that we can all bet on, next race will be won by them unless the diffuser is made illegal. I am a Tifosi and love Ferrari but them days that Schumi dominated got a little boring for a Ferrari man, Believe me. But until this is all settled F1 is a joke book that will continue to be read out until 2010. We need law and to be followed by that. Otherwise Kimi should have a rocket-powered car.....Oooops no one put that in the rules now did they?

This is the key here. Brawn GP didn't spring out of thin air. It was Honda.

i totally agree, but since you have had strong feelings about what gives them the right to do the same now.
2 Wrongs do not make a right, so maybe they should all play by strict rules and keep the control upto 100%.
Otherwise we could be playing in a jungle.

He never said that he thought they did have the right to do the same. What he said is that tifosi can't really have the right to complain because it would be hypocritical.

Then perhaps the Scuderia should get off it's collective backside and make a good one.

It's not their fault that the richer teams couldn't figure it out untill their times were slaughtered.
but regardless, this should be over soon, and everyone will be able to enjoy the races without having to hear whining and moaning.

it should be noted that the teams who have the double decker diffuser had no representatives on the (OWG) Overtaking Working Group. So the teams who were came up with the regs but didnt have their rule exploiting head on so either new of this but thought its not in their regs or over looked it mistakingly when coming up with the regs.

True, that is interesting. It's even more interesting that arguably the most respected technical mind in F1 pointed out the flaw to them and got laughed off the court - so he went and did it.

Let the diffuser gang have their victories, just rule the diffuser legal and wait a month until McLaren and Ferrari develop theirs and start kicking arse again-sucks to be Red Bull, though. It is interesting that the overtaking group didn't see the loophole in their rules but they were coming from the point of view of rules-writers, not rules exploiters. I'm a Mclaren fan but I am enjoying the shake up this year because a part of me roots for the underdog.
