Drivers Your Views

I would like this topic to be about your views on individual drivers anything from their driving skill to their personality to their fashion sense also peoples views on drivers as individuals not comparisons. I would not like this topic to be about ranking drivers or saying so and so is the best driver or that whoever is far better than someone else. If hostilities could be kept to a minimum that would be appreciated.

Lewis Hamilton

Personality

I think he is self-confident but not arrogant or cocky he seems to always look at the bright side of things and looks forwards not backwards. He sometimes seems to lack character when giving press conferences he is almost robotic to but hey that probably suits McLarens style but then in some interviews he comes out of his robotic shell and shows that he is an actual person who is up for a laugh. I think he is extremely competitive at everything he does and I would question his morality when related to what lengths he will go to when trying to achieve.

Driving

I think he has excellent car control but a far from smooth driving style he seems to like driving raggedly or with flamboyancy I really enjoy his aggressive overtaking manoeuvres and his immense daring when on the attack his take no prisoners approach really thrills. Yet sometimes he seems to make gigantic chicken ups like Canada 08 I think he struggles to keep his cool in some high pressure situations such as Brazil and China 07 often I think he lacks a certain amount of self control and gets carried away in the heat of the moment.

Dress sense

A sponsors dream :hehe:

Ok I'll choose Massa.
Personality
He's a sweetie. Nothing to dislike about him. I could have hugged him when he lost the world champioship, felt very sorry for him even though I was delighted Lewis won. He was very gracious in defeat. He needs Smedley behind him to push him and convince him of what he can do, he's blossomed under this partnership. Without Smedley I think he could be psychologically a little vulnerable.

Driving
Gone up in my estimation a lot. He could easily win a championship though not become one of the greats. Can be sublime especially when leading from the front. Can also be invisible sometimes. He has shown he can come through the field but i dont think this is his strength. Has pulled some good overtaking moves but again, its not what you think of as being a strong point when you think of him.

Clothes
 Dont think Ive seen him in clothes.

Mark Webber

Personality:
Team player and an engineers driver. He has been described and the "unluckiest" driver in F1. There is some truth to this, he rose from the depths of Minardi, then to Jag, constantly punching above his cars weight. It all seemed to come together when he got the Williams seat...but we all know what happened after that. GPDA spokesman (president?) he's the sort of person you can see taking a management role after he retires. But as far as his driving career goes...I believe he will end up being another Jean Alesi.

Driving:
Great at the one lap qualifying, absolutely crap at starts, consistent if he has a machine that can make the race distance (something which seems to be less of an issue last season). He has the ability and the car to make an impact this season, but I don't see it happening, not aggressive enough, sorry Mark.

Driving:

Fast when he wants to be average when he can't be bothered or the cars not right.

Clearly a very talented driver, who I enjoy watching behind the wheel. He's driven two decent races so far this season, particularly in Australia. Sadly, though, he and his father have no moral fabric, as evidenced most recently by his allowing McLaren to take the rap for actions in which he was equally involved. Other instances of disloyalty to the team came as short a time ago as just before the Australian Grand Prix, when Hamilton admitted he would listen to offers from other teams, given his 2009 car is not championship-winning material. The most well-known, of course, is his attempting to bail out of McLaren to Williams when he was in a huff about not getting a Formula One seat when he wanted.

Sebastien Bourdais:

Looks like a Sixth Form Nerd...

Was outclassed by Vettel, but still shows considerable promise.

Best driver to come into F1 from American "racing" in some time (Take that Scott "Has everything But" Speed).

I don't see how mine or McLarens Fans post are any less or more accurate than each others he just chose to focus more on specific area of Lewis Hamilton's personality.
