Looks like Hamilton's victory at Indy will be the last for F1, as Bernie and Indy boss Tony George couldn't agree the track's future.

So long Brickyard.

There was a Grand Prix held in Las Vegas in the early 80's in the car park for Caesars Palace. The drivers didnt like the track though.

I'd like to see the US race held at Laguna Seca, I love watching the MotoGP at that circuit, my favorite part of the track being the infamous Corkscrew.

I think today's F1 cars might be a little too low to go through the corkscrew corner.

yeah i remember that, well, i've seen something about it, in those good old times they could create a circuit wherever, as a matter of fact it was a terrible circuit!!

No US GP :x That was my only ticket to see a Formula One race. I am about 2 hours from Laguna Seca (Cart & Champ racing can do it why not F1??), Sears Point is 1 hr away. I don't see it happening in Vegas because Vegas is a money machine for the casinos now unlike the 80s. Traffic is bumper to bumper and people are everyone on the streets, all leading to the casinos. There's no way the casinos will clear up th streets for racing. Two places that was mentioned before Indy was selected is San Francisco and Long Beach (LA). SF would be a perfect place, racing along the piers. Bernie and Tony are two greedy bitches, now the fans has lost out on a good circuit.

There is no future to a GP in USA as their is only one American driver - Scott Speed who doesn't have a very big fan following and there are no American teams. Yes, US does have some very big sponsors. But, Americans have less interest in F1, there is a much larger fan following in NASCAR.

I personally think F1 is better off without a GP in United States.
