Possibly so. Shame Kubica crashed, it would have been good to watch that. AND we wouldnt have liegate!!
Kubica knew that Vettel was in no position to make a proper turn so why rush the pass?
Because BMW were probably telling Kubica "You can WIN, PASS VETTEL!!!" Theissen still believes that Kubica could've won the race.
I think he could have done. He was on the right tyres Button wasnt.
I dunno, Jens had a cushion and had pace in reserve with only a few laps to go
I saw a short clip from an Interview with Brawn, he basically smiled and said "BMW only thinks they could have caught Button. If Button started to push they would have had no chance of catching him." I do believe it's Brawn who used to tell Schumacher to slow down when he was too far ahead. There's no extra points for lapping the field and no need to put extra stress on the car.
Thats true, im sure the Brawn had more than it was revealing but it would come down to the state of the tyres at that point in the race. Vettel's were shot.
Vettel was trying to catch Button and fend off Kubica, so of course he was going to wreck his tyres. But Button was simply cruising to the finish line. He could've pushed hard for three laps before the tyres went off and there would have been nothing that Kubica could have done about it after that.
