Good luck Sam, you look like you're in good form. :)

I'll see my realistic pace this Sunday, at Larkhall.

I've been to Crail so much, I think I've put in excess of 5,000 laps around the track. I know it like the back of my hand, it's such a shame the place has gone into decline, if only the Nationals raced there.... :P

Larkhall should be good as quite a lot of people will be out, as it is the first test day of 09, and a lot of people will be testing out new chassis etc, so I should see how quick I am. I believe a certain rival of mine will be there, he is doing the European Champs next year, so I am looking to be competing with him.. Lets hope the 2008 Model will be just as quick as the 09 chassis, as it looks pretty different..

Brilliant News!

I can now, for the first time in my life.. Afford to buy a new kart on my own!

Well, only the frame.. but if it really is going to be faster, I need to have it to compete. I was planning on buying a new PC so that I can get some Live For Speed and Rfactor action, but instead I think I'm going to splash the £775.12 and buy a new frame.. Dedication to the sport or what? :P

And the frame is exactly what is sounds like. It's the frame.. No seat, no wheels, no bodywork, no nothing.. just the 30mm frame!

My MSA license and BRDC Stars of Tomorrow forms went into the post today, hopefully should get my license back within the next 2 weeks and should have comformation from Stars later in the week :D

MASSIVE NEWS!!

I was entered to do the "BRDC Stars of Tomorrow Championship". But no more :(

Now, I am doing the same championship, now called "Formula Kart Stars". And it's partnered with a certain Mr... BERNIE ECCLESTONE!!!

What does this mean? Well, all my races that don't clash with F1.. Will now be Televised by Bernies men!!

We are linked to the Official F1 Website, and "Special awards" and prizes will come from this now..

So yea, means the championship is a lot more prestigious, and more people will be looking at us.. especially F1 teams now.

In 2010 they want to be racing alongside F1 at European gps.. and by 2011 Racing Internationally with them!!

But for now this looks amazing for me! I'm pretty overcome with emotion atm! I mean, WOW, what a result!

Ahhhhh it is all falling into place. Can I put a bet on you following in the footsteps of Stewart and Clark as the next Scottish World Champion :P? ;)

Well done though man, it'll be amazing!

Don't tempt fate!

6 rounds at Formula Kart Stars (still sounds weird calling it that) and by my calculations.. 6 of them will be televised! So it's looking good!

It's good, as it now gives me something to really push and believe in! I mean, now when I'm training.. I just need to think teams and people watching me, and the harder I train, the more likely I am to suceed!

And, it should make sponsorship easier.. Telling them it's on TV.. and it's run by Mr Bernie!

I'm really really looking forward to this challenge, and I really hope this is my chance.

I do generally consider myself one of the luckiest people alive, I mean, whatever I do, it always comes out alright.. This really could be it!

Wow!! This is a real major development! Will Bernie himself be there? What Channel will it be on? BBC? Sky Sports? MotorsTV?

Good luck to you mate! :)

Don't know about Bernie being there, but I think he might go to the Belgian round, as it's the most spectacular race of the series.

All races should be televised, except the last round as it clashes with F1, but we'll see what happens. No idea about Channels, last time the series was televised it was on SkySports, but I think it may even be MotorsTV or something like ITV4, but I'm only guessing.

I really can't wait to KImbolton now, only 7 weeks until my fist National race! I'm really looking forward to the challenge, a lot of my mates from racing that I'm not racing against seem to think I'll be able to do really well, which is nice to know. If I just drive the nuts of my kart all season, it might all just come good!

My next outing is at Larkhall for a test day, to test some new brake pads and just get some time in the seat. I'll be at Rowrah, in Cumbria the following weekend as a Winter Test race. Some of my championship rivals will be in attendance, so to do well there and get a Physcological advantage over them at this early part of the season would be nice, so it's quite an important one.

hey guys!

Only a few days until my National Debut! :D Seriously excited :P

Track looks brilliant, also looks like I should be able to pick it up pretty quickly.. I hope :P Long Straights are a feature of the track with heavy braking zones, which suit me. Also theres a "Bus Stop" A la Spa which looks great for throwing it up the inside!

It's a double header, so it's Testing on Friday, Round 1 on Saturday and Round 2 on Sunday.

My aim is a top 15 (out of 48) and with it televised (I think) and with F1 watching.. the pressure is on :P

Well it's gonna be a struggle! About 8 of the drivers are driving in Europe and at the first round of the Euros two of the drivers I'll be racing against were on the podium!

I can't wait, just the experience of racing at the highest level in British Karting (And I think we tend to produce the best karters anyway) so I've just got too keep cool and make sure I finish!
#103332
Good luck Sam, blow them all away!:clap:
