You're still not dealing with the issue. McLaren is taking the bullet for Hamilton. Do you think this is fair?

Thats your assessment, not mine, we can agree to disagree until the cow's come home. The fact is Ryan (Team manager) made the wrong call, influenced a young driver into misleading an FIA enquiry. The manager as senior takes full responsibility (Yes thats sad), Hamilton has a loss of reputation, loss of podium and loss of valuable points, so he has not gone unpunished.

Unless he decided to take the blame on his shoulders to help protect the team as a whole, I find this situation very distasteful.

If he has been unfairly put into this situation of being suspended then it is disgusting considering how much of his life he has put into his team. I don't think this would be the case though a man so dedicated to his team may of taken the blame for the good of the team, I don't think Martin would of suspended him unfairly because he could speak out against the team if he felt it was a poor reward for 35+ years of service.

I have to say MF, I commend you on your honesty and objectivity over all this. Nice one man.

Now, returning to this Dave Ryan issue...It's my understanding that Hamilton is a fully grown adult. It is also my understanding that he is a massively powerful asset to McLaren and the World Champion...

In what half-conceived, moronic vision of reality is he "a kid who was misled into being a naughty boy" by a racing director?

I have already tried using this explanation. Apparently, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Like is said i can understand hamiltons postion if thats the case its alright taking the high moral ground sat in your chair and relaxed.

But if your under pressure from somone above you and theres no time to discuss it and that person takes the lead when answering questions and theres the pressure of an authority there you might be forced to go along with it.

Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?

Some people seem to be basing their views on the story that Hamilton was 'mislead'. Anybody who doesn't think that sounds slightly suspicious needs a reality check.

Its not about that mate, hes not a fool its just pressure, like is said you can't say what you would do in that situation.

And if you think you can your fooling yourself.

Well what do you think Happened? like i've said i'm not sure but i can understand him being pressured into it, if that was the case

And you're ignoring the bigger picture, Hamilton is the world champion driver, he more or less is McLaren at this stage. He knew what had been said earlier, and he'd have to have been a nitwit not to twig to the fact they'd be rumbled because he'd already told the real story. Pressure nothing, if he let Ryan tell him to lie and just did it he was being an idiot.

And I still can't see how even if you accept the idea that Mr. Ryan could "pressure" Hamilton into lying under those circumstances, that constitutes being "misled". What does that even mean? Are we to assume Dave told Hamilton that the FiA liked being lied to? Or that he told him "When they ask you if you let him past, you can say no because..." - actually, i can't even think of an implausible reason that would fit there.
