I have been fan of this great sport since as long as I can remember... well I can remember well, my first race was early May 1985 San Marino Grand Prix...

Next race that year in Monaco is what it sealed it for me (Prost won the race, and my heart :), from then on I only missed maybe 20 races, and I went to around that many to watch them live (Australia, Monaco, Hungary, Germany, Malaysia & Belgium). I idolize Alan Prost and had chance to meet him at his last race in Australia in 1993. For a long time I lived for this sport, my girlfriend knew not to ask me to do stuff on race day (or a race weekend).

So why am I sitting and writing this when F1 is on TV now...

Because since 29 March 2009 this is a joke and this joke has the name BROWN GP and diffuser fiasco. Thing is that Bernie has lost his grip over F1 teams and respect of FOM and FOA. Luca please put pressure on Bernie to rain on Williams and ban Brown for reminder of the year and if Bernie still does not get it to his drug f**** brain, pull Ferrari out of competition. Let see how long they will last without you.

Anyway I am angry and I will not rumble any more, keep an eye on eBay after 14th April if this situation is not resolved there will be some unique F1 things going on for sale...

Disgruntled F1 Fan...

TBH I think the whole think is just part of F1. Someone came up with an idea and someone else did not. they squabble about if it should be allowed or not and then it goes to the someone else to say who is right and who is wrong.

You 'idolize' Prost and have no problem with how he won the title in 1993, in a car that had so many advantageous components other cars didn't, and this is added to his lame political prevention of Senna or Mansell being able to challenge him. Yet, there is a major problem with Brawn and co. having these diffusers. What is wrong with this picture?

Why would you ban the BGP, Toyota and Williams diffuser? They are within the rules and legal it's the fault of the other teams not seeing it.

Who the hell is Brown GP? And I wasn't aware of any team running an illegal diffuser, just a few which some teams want clarification on.

Just because your team is doing sh**e doesn't mean you have to accuse the good ones of cheating. Ferrari fans of all people should know that.

Maybe Brawn's going to be backed by HP Brown sauce soon?

Sour grapes. You just seem to be pissed that Ross Brawn left Ferrari and their performance has not been the same ever since. Face it, the Brawn diffuser (along with those used by Toyota and Williams) has been approved by the FIA pre-season, it has passed by scrutineers at two events and subsequent protests have been thrown out on both occasions. I actually attempted to draw it as best I could, although of course I had to make the assumption that Brawn had used the maximum permissible width and height for the car. And I can't draw it in any way that would make it illegal under the regulations. Questionable, maybe, but not illegal.

You should just accept the fact that your team isn't doing as well as you might like and get on with it. Even if the diffusers were banned, the Brawn car would still be way ahead of the Prancing Horse - it's just that good.

If that's true, the team will have to put a ban on HP Brown sauce being used for the team's bacon butties on a morning. :hehe:
