not really, spent last year doing this chassis, hence being crap for the last season..

and not they for a decent engine

They started designing this car before even half of the 2008 season had run. They've had roughly fifteen months of design and simulation with this car. And with the Mercedes engine in it, it has something to push the car around quickly enough to match up to the chassis. The car itself is designed in a spectacular way - just look at the intricacy of the front wing and the diffuser. Brawn and his team have put everything in to this car and it has paid off. Williams started their 2009 development work early, too, and they seem to be reaping some of the benefits as well.

Practice has now finished. There's half an hour until the BBC Qualifying show comes on, and an hour after that until the actual session begins. Times have been posted up somewhere, I believe.

Everybody started looking in to the 2009 season before 2008 had started. Trialling slick tyres, for example. Honda just shifted more effort in to the project earlier than everyone else. Should've been a little more specific about what I meant.

BMW has come a long way & do wish them the best. I hope I see more progress this year than last. I have mad faith in them.
