They've got it. I think they're just trying to really shake McLaren, now, and prevent them from being so silly in the future. Or perhaps provoke a reaction to it, but that's less likely.

It's hard to keep your nose clean when the regulations are messed up.

I think it's pretty obvious you're not supposed to lie in a Stewards' hearing.

If you look at things from that day, it's pretty clear McLaren didn't set out to screw Toyota. The team tried to get into contact with race control and decided to let Trulli past, which we now seem to know was unnecessary. Although the team/certain members of the team should have told the full story, there are clear mitigating circumstances. If McLaren wanted to steal third place, they could have done it in other ways.

But they were happy enough to let Jarno lose all his points. If they weren't, they'd have told the truth straight away.

Hey, look, I'm not saying McLaren are innocent. I'm merely pointing out that people are getting much too carried away with their (hypocritical, in most cases) moral judgements about McLaren.

It's not hypocritical if you realise that the other teams on the grid are hardly saints themselves - nor alot of their drivers.

Well, that's one aspect of what I was talking about. The other is that there have been numerous holier-than-thou posters on this forum.

McLaren are being painted as some thrifty organisation that is morally-bankrupt from head to toe, which is, to be blunt, bullpoo.

I think all teams carry some morality issues, just some display them in different ways when it comes to their racing. Sadly for Mclaren the governing body picks on them and this means their dirty laundry is often hung out for all to see

Mclaren could do no wrong and yet the FIA would probably make-up a new rule and it just so happens to be something that Mclaren are doing wrong

This is getting childish

Spa?
