ahh dont go and get high and mighty on me please im not in the mood!

If you don't want people to get "high and mighty" with you, then you should read their posts properly before replying. Don't blame others for problems you cause.

Ferrari did in Monaco 06 and Schu and Todt blatantly lied to the Stewards even with the telemetry going against their word. no WMSC action was taken. starting from the back of the grid i thought was harsh enough, i felt atleast 10 spots for Mike in that race.

Very different situation. There is no proof of lying. Telemetry does not record the thought processes of the person behind the wheel. You may believe that Schumacher and Todt were lying, but there is no proof, and hence the situation is very different from the current situation where there is proof.

I'm not worried, not worried at all...
Will FIA try to mess up the most promissing season in ages ? I don't think so...
I'm pretty sure that FIA won't shot themselves in the foot. - Well, I hope! -

I think all this spotlight in that issue is just to increase Lewis punishment with giving him a damaged image. A good way to make people think twice before cheat.

Lewis and Mclaren can remain in the WDC/WCC

If Kovalainen keeps up his practice pace and qualifies well, a wet race lottery could give him a chance to win. :P

Oh come on! Get real here! We're talking Michael Schumacher. Do I need to list things? In this case it was planned!! He planned that stunt. Not so what hapened with Lewis.

It's pretty bad, but that's the printed media.
THey'll be Button lovers right now. Here's a scope of the world's press from James Allen:

How the world views the Hamilton affair
April 3, 2009 by James Allen

Here’s a snapshot of the reaction from some of my international colleagues in the media.

First to Germany, where, true to form, leading tabloid Bild have making mischief with Photoshop again. Last week Hamilton was morphed onto a snail’s body, today he’s got Pinocchio’s nose and is described as the ‘lying world champion’ Ouch!

Next on to Spain, where El Pais simply has the headline, “Lying for a podium.” They feel that this has been a damaging moment for the world champion, but do not feel that the matter requires any further punishment.

That said, many in Spain are rubbing their hands with glee. In AS, the strongest of the Spanish daily sports papers, the writer says that McLaren has lost all credibility. In a stinging attack it says that McLaren used to stand for all the best of British sporting values, but since the arrival of Hamilton that has been eroded. It questions how a team with such great resources and allied to such a prestigious brand as Mercedes, could make such stupid mistakes.

In Italy they are playing with a fairly straight bat. La Gazetta dello Sport, the leading sports daily just reports the facts, as does Corriere dello Sport. “Hamilton risks further sanctions, is the line they take,

Meanwhile in the UK there is some really tough stuff, particularly in the Daily Mail, where they really go for it,

Get this; “When the story of Lewis Hamilton’s career is written, it will record how he bankrupted himself in the counting house of reputation for the sake of one single point…. McLaren, the most arrogant team in the paddock, self-deluded in their own righteousness, are contaminated by a culture of cheating.”

I’m supposed to be going to a dinner tonight, hosted by Mercedes boss Norbert Haug and McLaren’s Martin Whitmarsh for seven or eight UK journalists, including the Mail, Times etc. Could be quite a tense evening….

Typical Daily Mail.

we all know the press love a loser and hate a winner in th UK.......build someone uo to bring them down.....Thats why they love a loser "button ....tim.henman....england cricket and football team and the list goes on........ a mistake has been made but tell me what sport does not make a chicken up every season this is just added to f1`s many chicken ups over the last few years
LETS JUST GET BACK TO RACING....as i wont be suprised that if it rains on sunday and Lewis wins the press will say that they made it rain on purpose

I could see the FIA punishing the McLaren team - so far they got away pretty lightly (6 or 5 points less in the WCC). I believe a monetary penalty is in the books, a rather big one at that.

there you go AGAIN  na you see youre the cause of problems, there is a certain way of going about things but you choose the high and mighty approach because to simply put it, youre just a born <EDITED FOR CONTENT>!:twisted::twisted:

not different at all you see theres video footage of Schumachers steering actions theres the telemetry of his braking which i beleive is controlled by the drivers thought process is it not? and then you get Todt and Schumacher saying it was an honest mistake! yeah right!

I'm really starting to get sick of the drama of Formula One.

I'm really starting to get sick of the drama of Formula One.

Just dont get caught up in all the political nonsense and concentrate on the racing. As you must have learned I'm very uninformed about all the politics etc etc because I only care about what happens on the track, I'm a simple man. :)

Sure the season opener involved a lot of drama... first Trulli being stripped off his 3rd place and then same thing with Hamilton....what i feel is that McLaren shouldn't be penalized rather Hamilton should....the FIA should have stricter rules....we know the rules this year with specs do also have loopholes....

Yes he has been...but a world champion shouldn't have done this....but again it can be a mistake as well...
