If lewis lied, thats very disappointing but its nothing to do with that race. He was third, fairly and squarely, he knew that, thast why he was getting het up. Its clear from the transcript that neither teams nor drivers knew what they were supposed to do and when they ask for help and clarification they got nothning. The reason for this problem is the FIA's inability to issue clear and concise instructions and to poloice them speedily and efficioently. They are a laughing stock.

No, the confusion cannot be denied. But Hamilton's crime is what he said to the Stewards after the race. IT contradicted what he said via the radio.

IF he lied then yes thats his crime but it didnt affect the race. He was trying to retain what was his rightful position. Ok wrong way of doing it but the right way of doing it-via the officials was denied him.

I'm thinking now tha this should become the responsibility of the teams.

They should hire one person to do nothing but exam the rules and regs for the year and is on standby for events. This on-site expert could have made the call for the team, had it sent down to the driver, and waited for any pushback from the stewards. This teams expert then could jam the rulebook down the stewards F'n throats.

This is like having doctors know how to process insurance claims. It's a big part of their business, but not specifically what they do..

It made the stewards issue a 25sec penalty for Trulli, don't forget that.

And nothing was denied since he didn't even try telling the truth and see what that gets him.

I don't see how putting 'f***ing' before Slav makes bud a racist. It's only an intensifier.

It makes it a racist statement. It is not just an intensifier, it is insulting and offensive.

Generally, if someone arguing with you calls you a f***ing McLaren fan, this is not a positive statement. Put a racial grouping after the f***ing and it becomes a racist statement.

Penalty Deserved.

Disagree wrong penalty. As bad as putting Trulli out of the points initially

I can mean that, yes, but you'd have to look at the context. You have taken bud's comment out of its context and manipulated it.

Just out of curiosity, what would you deem a fitting penalty? I mean lying to the stewards is pretty darn low, so it would have to be something that makes him remember it the next time he, or anyone else, thinks about misleading the stewards.

so AGAIN will you just STFU and if you have further issues please use the PM function if you want to take this off topic after Ewan has publicly stated to keep it ontopic after he unlocked it!

After the stream of obscene PMs you sent me in a previous argument, I do not open any PMs from you. They are deleted unread.

I am very sorry to all, but there comes a point where it is not possible to sit back and let things past. You say that I should STFU, but why does this not apply to you? Why should others say nothing, when you post post post post your garbage?

Hamilton in F1 axe threat

LEWIS HAMILTON was today told he could be thrown out of the Formula One world championship.

The McLaren driver has been found guilty of misleading FIA race stewards at last weekend's Australian Grand Prix.

He has been disqualified from that race and lost all the points he received for coming third.

But his punishment could be even more severe as the situation breaks the International Sporting Code.

A FIA spokesperson said: "Given the seriousness of this matter, we cannot rule out further action at this stage."

Hamilton was elevated from fourth to third due to Jarno Trulli being handed a 25-second penalty for passing him behind the safety car.

But radio transmissions between Hamilton and the pit wall revealed he misled stewards.

The conversation went as follows:

Hamilton: "The Toyota went off in a line at the second to last corner. I overtook him, is this okay?'

Team:"Understood, Lewis. We'll confirm and get back to you.

Hamilton: "He was off the track. He went wide.

Team: "Lewis, you need to allow the Toyota through. Allow the Toyota through now."

Hamilton and McLaren have been accused of acting "in a manner prejudicial to the conduct of the event by providing evidence deliberately misleading to the stewards".

And the FIA have it within their power to suspend Hamilton from a further race or races, or disqualify him from the championship altogether.

Blown out of proportion much?
