This is getting daft

Not really. IF (and note my use of 'if') Lewis lied to the stewards, then it is a serious offence. Would you approve of lying to the courts?

Auto motor und sport reports that Hamilton told a different story to the judges of the Australian Gp than what he's been telling the press about the events leading to Trulli overtaking him. He might be DQ'd now. FIA has opened an inquiry into the matter.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw it's already posted at the Toyota drop appeal-thread.

Hamilton summoned by stewards over Trulli pass

i think this is going to turn sour!

Being put back in to fourth place would be the least of Lewis' worries if this turns out to be true. Makes me wonder why the stewards had no access to radio transmissions on Sunday night, though. The FIA and the race organisers need to make this kind of information available for immediate use then we can avoid things like this in the future.

Ehem, it wouldn't be needed if the drivers were more honest like SV

The big problem as I see it is that none of the teams and none of the drivers ever seem to know what the Stewart's are going to call as an infraction. If the Safety car had been able to stay out a few more laps, they would have probably sorted out the proper running positions of Trulli and Hamilton before a restart and Trulli's penalty should reflect this. A 25 second penalty is, in my opinion, extremely harsh for the circumstances. If Trulli was actually trying to race Hamilton and passed him it would be a completely different situation. As it was Hamilton and Trulli were just trying to figure out who should be in what position, and as usual with no help from the Stewarts / Race Control.
The Stewarts and Race Control dropped the ball and now it's the driver's and teams that once again suffer after the race is over.

I thought it would have taken at least 4 races before they started having a go a lewis.
But after the pathatic attemps last year with stupid penalty after stupid penalty why did i even think that... they cant have lewis scoring points whe the red machine scored 0 :bs:
