Apparently there are going to be some upgrades for the MP4-24 at the Malaysian GP nothing big though just more developments of current parts, I have heard that McLaren are quite advanced in developing a new 2 deck diffuser so hopefully we could see that in China or by Bahrain at the latest I hope. I don't think the MP4-24 is a bad car at all just very under developed due to the amount of effort McLaren put into last year’s championship bid.

Williams have built a solid car, but aerodynamics have been their weakness really since 1998, and there has been plenty of false dawns. I'll refrain from judging till after the race.

Too many times cry wolf in my book

Remember Williams last season: we were unlucky at the last Grand Prix, but are hopeful of a good result this weekend, because our car suits this track.:rolleyes::blush:

I read that the team's computer simulations didn't match up with what was actually happening with the car in real life. If so, that would suggest at least some parts of the car are going to need more than some simple alteration.

Williams did utter crap last time out at Malaysia. They always do well at Melbourne. If anything Sepang will be a huge weekend for Williams. It's almost make or break for them actually. If they can do well here they pave the way for a great season and perhaps a great upturn in form. If they perform poorly, then they're set to repeat last year.

Ferrari will be interesting to watch, but I'm pretty sure they'll do better here than Melbourne. A lot of people are counting Ferrari out for no reason. They had good pace, just a poor strategy and reliability. Melbourne is like a jnyx for Ferrari. They've done poorly they're for the last 4 years. Expect them to be strong again. Then again, anything could happen.

Renault it's make or break. Most likey break, and poor news for Alonso.

The reality is that we can't judge from Melbourne. Sepang will be the first test that determines the pecking order for the year. Again we can't just say Ferrari or Williams will be poor, because we don't know. There's no logical reason. Melbourne is a unique track. It's like going to monza and saying that the race here clearly determines that team is faster than that one. You need to look at a general track like Barcelona to see the general order of things.

Classic Malaysian grands prix on BBC Red Button now. Just seen Eddie Irvine win in 1999. Good times :D

Schumacher did a good job for the team as well, disproving the conspiracy theorists who claim(ed) that Ferrari didn't want Irvine to win the title.

Indeed. It's a shame that he didn't win the title, in some ways. Either Irvine or Hakkinen would have been a worthy winner, in my eyes.

Back to this weekend, has anyone got the details of the Television coverage please?

Bump -, Has anyone got the timings on BBC, many thanks

The BBC site usually tells you :P

Im gonna be working when race is on, I start at 10 on sunday  f***ing balls! I hope it records

Where I'm hoping to start working is an I.T. repair shop. Everyone there loves F1, the majority got up for the Oz GP live. So I'm sure they won't mind switching on F1 on one of the laptops if it's on :cloud9: Dream Job.
