Following rumours that he is about to become team manager, Schumacher has refuted the claims. “I am not going to all the races this year,” he said. “But I will go to some in Europe.”
His manager, Willi Weber has also brushed off the claims. “If Michael had wanted to have a full time job at race tracks, he would have stayed as a driver,” Weber explained.
Weber did go on to admit that Schumacher and Todt had had a lot of meetings at Maranello, Ferrari’s HQ, however it was more a reflection of Schumacher’s personality and knowledge than preparation for a new job.
Ferrari spokesman Luca Colajanni has also poured water on the fire. “Michael is clearly involved with the team, but this report is nonsense!” he exclaimed.
