HRT team boss Colin Kolles has said that the team has no intention of becoming a member of FOTA again. At present, HRT are the only team that are not members of the association.
Kolles told Germany’s motorsport-total.com that FOTA’s real ambition is to push the interests of the big teams in commercial contract negotiations.
“If they would respond to our needs, we would think about it (re-joining FOTA) again,” he said.
“But I think we are better off negotiating our own contracts, because we understand our problems better than the chairman of FOTA (Martin Whitmarsh) who may want something completely different.”
