Mark Webber has criticised Williams over their refusal to listen to the drivers outside of the cockpit. After two poor years at Williams, Webber has revealed that Jaguar and Minardi both listened to his input.
“That was not the case at Williams,” he explained to racing newspaper Motorspor Aktuell. “You had to let the team do its’ work and be satisfied to simply drive the car. My opinion was not important. It was more relaxing for me but also pretty frustrating because we didn’t get the results we wanted. I had to learn to deal with it. Frank Williams and Patrick Head are very successful people so I had no argument to give them as to why they should listen to me.”
