Villeneuve to carry on comeback trend?

Jacques Villeneuve could be on the verge of returning to Formula One, if Stefan GP are awarded a place on the grid.

According to Autosport, the 1997 world champion has already agreed terms to join the Serbian outfit and is likely to be joined by Japan’s Kazuki Nakajima.

The story also reports that Indian GP2 star, Karun Chandhok will serve as the team’s reserve driver.

Villeneuve, who has remained active in motor sport since leaving F1 in 2006,  is believed to be training in the Austrian Alps.

Stefan GP has yet to be given a place on the grid for the 2010, despite acquiring the use Toyota’s design for this year and sending equipment to Bahrain and Malaysia.
