Vettel extends Red Bull contract until 2011

Sebastian Vettel has agreed to extend his stay with Red Bull Racing until the end of the 2011 season, with an option for the following year.

Vettel, who lies third in the drivers’ world championship, has impressed so far this season with victories in China and Britain.

The deal will prove significant for Red Bull who previously convinced Mark Webber to extend his contract into next season.

Furthermore the announcement will now end the speculation surrounding the long-term future of Vettel, who according to the BBC, had also been the target of Mclaren, Ferrari, Toyota and Brawn.
