On the final day of testing at Valencia, it was the two Finnish drivers of Kimi Raikkonen and Heikki Kovalainen who battled for top spot a place that was eventually claimed by the more experienced Raikkonen by just under 0.02 seconds. Felipe Massa rounded out the top three over 0.6 seconds behind his team-mate.
Williams have continued to impress with newcomer Kazuki Nakajima managing to outpace the McLaren of Lewis Hamilton. BMW are continue to struggle a little, with Kubica managing to finish in sixth place. The team are confident that they have found some areas for improvement and will be able to give their drivers a better balanced car before the next test session at Barcelona.
Red Bull Racing s Mark Webber was only able to complete 15 laps before having to stop after contact with a kerb, the team discovered that his RB4 s monocoque had been damaged.
