British Formula 3 team Ultimate Motorsport are in talks with Red Bull about buying a share of Scuderia Toro Rosso according to the latest rumours. Toro Rosso co-owner Dietrich Mateschitz has his half of the team up for sale and is hoping that he can strike a deal to sell by winter.
According to Autosport, Ultimate Motorsport are in the final stages of putting together a serious offer although no details have yet been released. It is thought that Ultimate Motorsport would like to be on the F1 grid for the start of the 2009 season.
However Toro Rosso co-owner Gerhard Berger has denied rumours of the sale and has told Austrian news agency APA that he has never heard of Ultimate Motorsport and he has never spoken with anyone from the team.
