Turkish GP organisers may face FIA sanctions

During last weekend s GP2 race in Turkey, two stray dogs ran onto the track. Bruno Senna ran over one of the two dogs and was lucky to escape the incident without injury the 24 year old came over the brow of a hill and only had a fraction of a second to react which was unfortunately not enough time to avoid a collision with one of the dogs. The impact with the dog broke his car s front right suspension.

The FIA have said that organisers of the Turkish Grand Prix could now face sanctions over the incident.

“This was a serious lapse in circuit security and safety,” an FIA spokesperson explained. “How could such a thing happen at an almost brand new Formula 1 track?

“The FIA Safety Commission will hold a full investigation into the matter which may then be referred to the world council.”
