Toro Rosso stick with Alguersuari

Scuderia Toro Rosso has confirmed that Jaime Alguersuari will race for the team in the 2010 championship.

The 19-year-old became Formula One’s youngest ever driver when he replaced the faltering Sebastien Bourdais at the Hungarian Grand Prix last season.

“Considering that he made his debut only halfway through 2009, at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with no prior testing, he did a good job, making steady progress throughout the second half of the year, with a mature approach considering he is still only nineteen years old,” said team boss Franz Tost.

The annoucement means that Alguersuari will be the third Spaniard on the grid next season and will once again line up alongside Sebastien Buemi for the Faenza-based team.
