Sutil: Fuel Pressure Problems

It has not been Adrian Sutil s weekend so far during practice, he had some gremlins with his car and today in qualifying session 1, he was forced to pull off-track and retire. It appears that his problem is a recurring fuel pressure problem which causes his engine to cut out. Sutil is confident that the issue will be resolved before tomorrow s race.

“Unfortunately we had a fuel pressure problem on my first run in qualifying,” Sutil explained. “It was the same issue we had in the morning but then I stopped in the pit-lane and my mechanics could push me back to the garage to get started again. In the afternoon I was on track and we could not do the same. Obviously it is a worry and something we need to sort out for the race, but I think we can get it right tomorrow.”

Despite having to retire early on the in session, Sutil still managed to out-qualify his team-mate Sakon Yamamoto and will start the race in 21st position.
