Schumacher: 2008 will be a two-horse race

Michael Schumacher has said he believes the 2008 season will be a two-horse race again between McLaren and Ferrari, and that the driver to watch out for is Nico Rosberg.

The new car is better than last year’s in all areas,” Schumacher explained. “The world championship will be fought again between two teams – us, and the Silberpfeile (silver arrows). Behind us are some others with question marks.”

Despite being outpaced by his rookie team-mate in the last day of testing, Schumacher believes that Williams driver Nico Rosberg is the one to watch this season. “I have been most impressed by Nico,” Schumacher said.

The FW30 has impressed many during pre-season testing and many people believe that Williams could be the best of the rest behind McLaren and Ferrari in 2008. Rosberg himself is happy with the FW30 however he is not letting his expectations get too high.

“The times have been very satisfactory, even in moment when we have not really been searching for quick times,” Rosberg explained.
