Valentino Rossi says he was happy with his return for Formula One testing despite poor weather conditions ruining most of his session.
The reigning MotoGP champion completed 68 laps around the Catalunya circuit and eventually posted a time of 1m25.200s, despite heavy raining making the circuit damp for most of the morning.
“I’m happy,” said Rossi, “It was a good test, although it was wet in the morning and without grip I had some problems.
“Fortunately the track dried off in the afternoon, I could use the slicks and improve my lap times.”
Rossi will continue testing the 2008 Ferrari today.
