Ross Brawn faces potential driving ban

F1 boss Ross Brawn has been caught speeding and faces loses his British driving license. The boss of Brawn GP was clocked at 100mph on the A30, a dual carriageway road at Sourton near Okehampton, Devon, on May 30th. The speed limit on the road is 70mph.

Brawn is alleged to have been doing 100mph in his Mercedes. Brawn has been summoned to court however he has yet to enter a plea. His lawyers have written to magistrates to ask for an adjournment to the case as he is currently out of the country and it has been agreed that the case will be put off until early next month.

Drivers who are caught doing more than 100mph typically have to appear in court in the UK. Unless there are special circumstances surrounding the speeding incident, most drivers will usually face an immediate ban from driving.
