Renault F1 s R28 car ran in public for the first time this morning at Jerez in Spain with ex-champion Fernando Alonso at the wheel.
The team s plans were delayed when thick fog descended on the circuit, causing it to be shut for several hours. Eventually, Alonso was able to take Renault s 2008 Formula One car onto the track around noon.
The car will officially be launched on January 31st.
