Red flags spoil final day of testing

The final day of testing saw a dry track to the relief of many of the teams. Although the day started slightly damp, a dry line quickly emerged on track and teams were able to complete their first day of fruitful running of the week.

Kazuki Nakajima emerged as the man to beat as he drove his Williams FW30 to the fastest lap of the day, just three hundredths of a second faster than the McLaren of Heikki Kovalainen, with the second McLaren of Pedro de la Rosa just a further two hundredths behind the Finn.

The session was marred by seven red flags. One was caused by Ferrari driver Felipe Massa as he spun out on track. Kovalainen and Webber caused two red flags apiece when they stopped out on track, with Alonso also stopping out on track once. The remaining red flag was caused by Timo Glock when he spun.
