Red Bull Racing today unveiled their 2010 charger, the RB6, at the Jerez de la Frontera track in Spain. The first pictures of the car, which were published this morning by the Milton Keynes outfit, show a machine remarkably similar to its successful 2009 predecessor.
The shark fin engine cover has been made a permanent feature of the car, as has a very aggressive raised nose, a hallmark of the car’s famed designer Adrian Newey. The team are looking to repeat the success of 2009 in which Sebastian Vettel took them close to their first world championship. By season’s end, the RB5 was considered to be the all-round fastest, a legacy which Newey has clearly tried to build on with the new RB6.
Mark Webber is set to test the car at the Jerez track this week, although bad weather is still forecast for the area.
