Malaysian oil company Petronas have signed a deal with Mercedes to be their title sponsor. Petronas formerly sponsored BMW Sauber and many believed that they would shift their sponsorship to Malaysian F1 team Lotus.
“Everyone at Mercedes GP is delighted to confirm out long-term agreement with Petronas,” team principal Ross Brawn commented.
“Our plans for the new season are progressing well, as is the development of our 2010 challenger. We look forward to seeing the car run in the new Silver Arrows and Petronas livery at Valencia.”
