“McLaren is under a lot of pressure now,” Montoya told magazine Grand Prix. “The drivers are new, the image is new; they have to get results. With a World Champion who has beaten Schumacher, they have run out of excuses.”
Montoya himself fell out with McLaren Ron Dennis, but Montoya believes Alonso will have no similar problems. Despite a good showing over the winter testing, he still believes that his old teammate Raikkonen will beat the McLarens in his Ferrari, although “Massa might have a very good start.”
