Kingfisher Airlines have ended their sponsorship of F1 team Toyota early. The news is not unexpected now that the boss of Kingfisher, Vijay Mallya, has his own Formula 1 team.
It was announced by Toyota that the two parties had mutually agreed to end the partnership a year early and the announcement means that Mallya can now turn his full attention to his new team, Force India.
“I would like to thank Kingfisher Airlines for its support during 2007 and I wish Dr Mallya good luck with his new Formula 1 venture,†said Toyota s team boss Tadashi Yamashin. “I look forward to seeing him next season, even if he is now associated with a rival team.â€
