Jerez Testing – Day 1 Round-up

Ferrari F2008
Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa have thrown down the gauntlet and dominated the first day of testing at Jerez. De la Rosa came in third in the new McLaren MP4-23, with Sebastien Vettel fourth in his Toro Rosso, and the second McLaren of Heikki Kovalainen finishing in fifth spot.

McLaren decided to only run in the morning because of wet conditions on-track. The track dried out early afternoon and all teams except BMW were seen testing. The session was marred by red flags Massa, Vettel, Bourdais and Nakajima all caused one red flag each, with Piquet Jr and Glock managing to cause two red flags apiece.
