Hamilton cleared by Italian race stewards

It has been announced that the Italian Grand Prix stewards will take no action on Lewis Hamilton, after the pole-sitter appeared to impede Sebastian Buemi during the first part of qualifying.

As Hamilton was coming out of the Monza pitlane, he did not appear to notice Sebastian Buemi on the start-finish straight and  although he tried to get out of the way at the last moment, the Briton ultimately forced the Toro Rosso driver off down the escape road – ruining Buemi’s lap.

Both drivers were called to the stewards’ room after today’s qualifying session, but after much deliberation it has been decided that Hamilton will not be penalised.
