The Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) are holding a series of meetings this week to discuss the future of F1. According to some sources, some of the items on the agenda include a ban on refuelling, shorter races, and harsher testing restrictions, to help make the sport more competitive.
It isn t the first time that the idea of banning refuelling has been brought up last season, the idea was floated after several pit-stop problems. Following Felipe Massa s disastrous pit-stop in Singapore last month, the idea has now resurfaced.
A ban on refuelling could have significant impacts on the sport the races would have to be shorter, and car design might change dramatically if the fuel tank size were to change.
