Force India will unveil their 2009 challenger, the VJM02, at the Jerez test circuit on Sunday, the team confirmed today.
The Anglo-Indian outfit entered into a technical partnership with McLaren-Mercedes at the end of last year and the team’s new car, a direct product of this collaboration, will enjoy Mercedes-Benz power and feature a McLaren gearbox and KERS units.
The VJM02 is set to undergo an extensive development programme ahead of the season opening Australian Grand Prix, and the team will be hoping that it will catapult its drivers, Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil, further up the pecking order in 2009.
