The FIA has confirmed that the Bahrain Grand Prix will not be run this season leaving just 19 races for the 2011 season. However the race will return in 2012 with Sakhir hosting the opening round.
The FIA had voted in favour of reinstating the Bahrain Grand Prix however F1 teams said they were unhappy at a season finale on the 11th December. The news means that the 2011 season will end on 27th November in Brazil.
