Ferrari look at cooling issues

Ferrari are looking into cooling issues with their F10 and are hoping to have a solution ahead of the Melbourne Grand Prix.

Both Ferrari drivers were given a new engine ahead of the season opener and although Massa said that he backed off in the last 30 laps of the Bahrain Grand Prix to save fuel, it has now emerged that there were also concerns about his car overheating.

“The temperature of the engine is the result of the aerodynamics of the car. So we have to work on that in order to make sure we don’t have any more of these kinds of issues for the next hot races,” team boss Stefano Domenicali explained to ESPN.

There are also rumours that Ferrari are working on a B-spec car which will have a new diffuser on it. It is widely reported that Giuseppe Azzollini, a CFD expert who has previously worked for Toyota, is the brains behind the new diffuser design.
