Jenson Button has stated that he believes the Albert Park track, which plays host to the Australian GP this upcoming weekend, will suit his McLaren MP4-25 better than the Sakhir track at which he disappointed.
The Melbourne circuit is fluid and fast-flowing, qualities which Button thinks will match his long-wheelbase car. The car did not appear to like Bahrain, especially the new part, which was twisty and tight.
”I think we head to the Albert Park circuit feeling more confident of our overall pace. It s quite a contrast to Bahrain: no tight, low-speed sections and plenty of faster corners. We think the track configuration should suit our package.
“We learnt some very useful lessons about MP4-25 in the opening race, and the whole team is keen to put them into practice this weekend.â€
