Flavio BriatoreFlavio Briatore has announced his intentions to sue the FIA for losee of income attached to his driver-management business.

The FIA banned Briatore from motorsport for life last year however a French court overturned the ruling earlier in the month. Briatore has said that thanks to the ban, he lost some of his biggest clients and is therefore looking to recoup the lost fees via legal action.

“We lost Alonso, we lost Kovalainen, we lost several drivers,” Briatore commented to the Daily Telegraph. “We will sue the FIA for the money we lost.”

Although Briatore is now free to return to his driver management company, he is still banned from attending motor sport events until the FIA fully explores their options as to whether they can appeal the overturning of his ban or not.
