Bernie Ecclestone says that the British Grand Prix could return to Silverstone should Donington Park fail to meet his requirements to stage the event.
Ecclestone has warned in the past that the British Grand Prix would be scrapped if the Donington Park deal falls through.
However, speaking to the BBC in Silverstone he indicated that he was now more open to a return to Silverstone.
“We’ve got an agreement, as everybody knows, with Donington and I’m hoping they can complete the agreement and do all the things they are supposed to do.
“And if they can’t, for sure we will come back to Silverstone.”
