On the second day of testing, a surprise pair topped the timesheets the Toro Rosso drivers of Sebastien Vettel an Sebastien Bourdais. Both drivers were in the 2007 car and outpaced the McLaren of Lewis Hamilton who finished the day in third place. However, it wasn t plain sailing for the Toro Rosso team both drivers caused red flags when they stopped on-track.
Kubica showed that BMW are continuing to make progress, finishing in fifth place, although the Polish driver suffered a small mechanical issue which left him stranded on track early in the session.
Honda were once again disappointing Button lost some time after suspected steering problems left him in the garage for a small part of the morning session. His woes continued on-track when he brought out a red flag having stopped on track. The British driver eventually finished in 13th place, just ahead of the Force India car of Tonio Liuzzi.
