Contrary to earlier news, Fernando Alonso is testing for McLaren at Jerez. Rumours have it that Flavio Briatore relented and gave him a contract reprieve on Thursday meaning he could take to an unmarked MP4-21 on the last day of the 2006 testing days.
Alonso will be driving de la Rosa’s test car, which finished top of the pile on day two. He is wearing a white helmet and none of his clothing nor the car bears any sponsorship logos.
