Alguersuari takes Toro Rosso to top at lunch

Jaime Alguersuari topped the timesheets today at Jerez at lunchtime in his Toro Rosso. The Catalan was followed by Pedro de la Rosa in the Sauber and Adrian Sutil in his new Force India, in a session dogged by rain and red flags.

A technical glitch early in the session relegated Nico Rosberg to seventh place, Sutil stopped out on track just before 2pm and Rubens Barrichello spun his Williams causing another red flag.
