A World Champion Livery

Continuing their anniversary celebrations, the two Williams FW30s will be testing in their fifth livery at Barcelona today. The team are celebrating entering their fourth decade of F1, and will see their 500th Grand Prix start at Monza later in the year.

Both Williams cars will carry the handwritten best wishes of each of the team s seven World Championship winning drivers, including the text “I was the first,” from Alan Jones, and “Fabulours 28 wins, Red Five,” from Nigel Mansell. There was thanks from Keke Rosberg as he wrote, “Thanks…for 4 great years,” with Damon Hill also adding his thanks, “Thanks Frank.” Jacques Villeneuve wrote, “Thanks for 3 amazing years and the Championship,” with Alain Prost writing, “Many thanks to all the team I was proud to win my last World Championship with you.”

The cars will also feature the names of each of the other 31 drivers who have raced for the Williams team throughout their history, including greats such as Ayrton Senna, Mario Andretti and Clay Regazzoni.
