hey, im doing a project for university on interactive media in promotions

so a couple of questions for you.

what kind of f1 or motoring themed apps and games do you like?
what kind of application or game would be useful or would you enjoy as a motorsport fan?

Im guessing your talking about the iphone. The app that is pretty much official one is well worth the money.

It has GPS trackers to track the car and live timing.

What i would like to see if a Kangaroo TV style app where before a race you can purchase a weekend subscription and enjoy.

I would like to see a GPS fed qualifying comparison.. so you could see corner by corner where drivers are getting faster or slower.

This would be hard to do as most GPS has an accuracy of a few meters, which in F1 is more like a country mile lol.

The Mclaren site has a decent bit of info when their cars are running. When their not its pretty boring.

interesting stuff, yeah the gps would have to be in car and crazy accurate i suppose

You don't need GPS for that, just a track with streaming telematics built in so you'd get real time location updates from a few hundred points along the track.

so is anyone currently using the official i phone apps of their team or the Formula 1 official application?

Nope they dont work on my phone even though its one of the latest phones.

I used to have it for the 2009 season.
