Reportedly, McLaren's engineering director Paddy Lowe spotted something on the Barcelona grid that he suspected did not conform to the rules with regards to the "infinite precision" principle. Red Bull was asked by FIA officials in Monaco to modify the design, but subsequently dominated the famous street event.

"We had to run a version without those [diffuser] wings and found that it was even better than before," said Horner.

You have to appreciate the irony of the situation, McLaren staff working hand in hand with the Red Bull aero department... it's a scandal!

Maybe McLaren are paving their way to displace Toro Rosso as the Red Bull B-team?

Well now Red Bull is guilty of stealing McLaren's design.

"infinite precision" principle.

what is that?

Did I write that?

No, you typed it.

Refers to the wording of the technical regulations that allow for double diffusers instead of calling it a hole in the floor you call it a gap made to infinite precision on infinite planes so what you end up with is a hole lol.

Maybee its more of Horners BS

 i think so too. i bet its Horner messing up with Mclaren's head. Besides, maybe it was better at Monaco but not the other circuits.

 So a gap of infinite precision on infinite planes is a HOLE?
Gotta update the dictionary! :)

I just dug a gap made to infinite precision on infinite planes in my backyard. Soon it will accomodate a precision post.
